Samson's Island Mangrove Trimming

Samson’s Island is a 52-acre island in the Banana River owned by the City of Satellite Beach. Atlantic Environmental was contracted by the City to acquire permits from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to allow the trimming of protected mangroves growing along the island’s edges and within the internal canals. Upon permit acquisition, Atlantic Environmental personnel trimmed the mangroves to improve the site’s access and navigability for passive recreation.
